This free, open-access online catalog aims to provide a comprehensive overview of bio-based solutions for humanitarian and health applications, resulting from the Horizon Europe funded project (European Union) Waste in Humanitarian Operations: Reduction and Minimization. This consortium (WORM) is headed by Hanken School of Economics (Finland) and consist of 18 European and International actors

During the first phase of this two-year project, te WORM partners have identified five prioritised products; in collaboration with all partners and associated partners, including its sister project Bio4HUMAN and specialist networks.
WIth opening up these categories on this portal, we are inviting researchers, manufacturers, foundation, experts and the sector more broadly, to keep on contributing and expanding on these product groups to build an open-access knowledge base for biobased solutions for humanitarian responses globally.

Following a collaborative and multi-actor approach, WORM brings together medical and humanitarian organisations,procurement service providers,logistics providers, waste management services and academic partners.
